Subnet Works is a direct-engagement practice run by one engineer. There are no open positions at this time.
What Subnet Works looks for
When Subnet Works does expand, the focus will be on working engineers who run and maintain infrastructure in production. The specific profile:
- Hands-on routing and switching experience (Cisco IOS preferred)
- Linux server administration (Ubuntu or Debian)
- Production virtualization experience (Proxmox, VMware, or equivalent)
- Security fundamentals: firewall policy, VPN, access control
- Comfort with documentation and change management
- Client communication without jargon overload
Introductions welcome
Senior network and systems engineers in the NYC metro area are welcome to introduce themselves. If a fit emerges when the practice grows, the introduction will already be made.
